Established in 1986, BeautyWorx was fast on the rise to becoming one of the hottest, hippest salons in Northeast Philadelphia. BeautyWorx was one of the first full-service unisex salons in the area to offer more than just hair services. Known for quality service and a friendly down-to-earth staff, BeautyWorx' rise in popularity was partly due to the dramatic, real-people model makeovers. Owner Lois Burak came up with the concept to photograph BeautyWorx clients, as an alternative to using vendor-supplied posters. Ms. Burak's approach has since been heavily utilized by salons all over. Looks from subtle elegance to glamorous theatrics, clients love seeing themselves, or family and friends on the walls of BeautyWorx as well as our advertisements.
