| Paula began sketching doll dresses at age five. By the time she was 10, she was planning her own wardrobe. After receiving a bachelor's degree in Art History from Northwestern University in 1983, she enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. While at FIT she won first prize in the International Competition of Young Designers in Paris judged by Christian Lacroix, Marc Bohan and Jean-Charles de Caselbjac. Her award-winning design is on permanent display at the Louvre. |
